Spazi Aperti (Open Spaces)

for dialogue between asylum-seekers and hosting community

spazi aperti

Spazi Aperti (Open Spaces) began in 2016, following the opening of Montespertoli's C.A.S. (Urgent Reception Centre for Asylum-Seekers and Refugees).

The project is funded by the Otto Per Mille trust of the Italian Waldensian Church Foundation.

Our aim is to investigate and experiment methods of dialogue, debate and exchange between the asylum-seekers resident in the council district of Montspertoli and the local population, in order to create shared spaces and pathways structured to facilitate meeting and interaction between these 2 social groups.
